Founders and Officers
The Institute was founded as a non-profit partnership by members of Muranov, Chernyakov & Partners Law Firm under the firm’s auspices and with its participation.
The CEO of the Institute is Dmitry Davydenko - candidate of legal sciences (PhD in Law). PhD thesis "Amicable Settlement Agreement as a Means of Out-of-Court Private Law Dispute Resolution (under the Russian Law and the Law of Selected Foreign Countries)" defended in Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2004).
A graduate of the International Law Faculty of MGIMO University. While being a postgraduate student, won a first prize award at the scientific conference of the Moscow State University and the Russian Justice Academy "Legislation reform in Russia: problems and perspectives» under section «Acute issues of civil legislation of Russia» with a report "Out-of-court settlement agreement and its regulation by civil law". He has participated as part of the MGIMO University team in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vienna, Austria). Studied dispute resolution (negotiations, mediation, arbitration) provided by the faculty of Humboldt University (Berlin, Germany) and Tulane University Law School. He also took part in the training on conflict mediation of the Russian American Program on Conflictology. Also studied international trade law under the program of the Institute on International and Comparative Law of the San Diego University.
Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law scholarship holder for 2009 and 2010. Participant of a Russian-German research project on international commercial arbitration.
Author of more than 50 publications relating to out-of-court (alternative) dispute resolution, enforcement of foreign judgements and arbitral awards, corporate law ("Vestnik Vysshego Arbitrazhnogo Suda Rossiyskoy Federatsii" (Bulletin of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation), "Khozyastvo i Pravo" (Economy and Law), "Kollegiya" (Collegium), "Mezhdunarodny Kommerchesky Arbitrazh" (International Commercial Arbitration), "Treteysky Sud" (Arbitration), "International Financial Law Review", "BNA's Eastern Europe Reporter").
